Save Money: Price-Friendly Hair Products

The other day I wrote a post discussing some factors that made me consider the creamy crack. One factor listed was the cost of hair care products which left me financially burdened. I wanted to list price-friendly hair products. But to keep that post short, I excluded the list and decided to give this topic a post of its own.

I will start by listing five products I use, and can testify that they work based on my experience. Then I will list another popular in our community.

1. S Curl by Luster - $3.00 to $5.00 (Depending on bottle size).

This is effective in activating curls, and keeping the hair moisturized and soft.

2. Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo. 13 fl oz - $5.00 to $8.00 (Depending on Store)

A sulfate-free shampoo that reduces frizz, smoothes and help restore moisture to the hair, and adds curl definition to the hair while giving it a shine.

3. Homemade Shampoo Made With African Black Soap - $3.00 to $5.00 On

Black soap is said to cleanse the scalp and promote hair growth. Learn more about Black soap including how to make the shampoo here.

4. Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Intensely Smooth Leave-In Conditioning Cream 10 fl oz - $3.00 to $4.50 (Depending on Store).

Great for shine and smoothing out the hair. Scent is very fruity.

5. Let's Jam Shining & Conditioning Gel, Regular Hold 4.4 Oz-$3.99-$5.00 (At most Beauty and Dollar General Stores)

Hold down hair without leaving residue (flakes) or the sticky effect.

6. As I Am Coconut Cleansing Conditioner - 16 oz - $8.00 at Target, Walmart, and Sally Beauty. $9.00 at Beauty Stores)

Cleans the scalp by removing build up from styling and hair care products.

7. Dark and Lovely Au Natural Curl Defining Creme Glaze 14 oz - $6.50 at Walmart and Target

Promotes curl definition and also a great moisturizer.

8. Dark and Lovely Anti-Shrinkage Easy Twist Gel N' Butter, 5.0 fl oz
 9. Satin Pillow -$5.00 at Target

Satin fabric prevents discomfort, pulling, and tangling of the hair. However, the main function is to prevent moisture loss.

10. Afro Pick - $1.99 at most Beauty Supply Stores

And there you have it. Price-friendly products for your crown that works. There are plenty of other products ranging from $5.00 but I decided to list products that are accessible at most stores. Follow us on Facebook and join our newly form support group.
